Our aim is to help you choose the right product for a real gaming decision. A recommendation should explain who may benefit, what is required, and what might make another option a better fit.
Identify the exact product
We distinguish a game or product family from a particular edition, platform, language, format, model, quantity, or bundle. Publisher and manufacturer identifiers are kept separate from Amazon listing identifiers. Similar names or packaging do not establish that two products are interchangeable.
Check facts against useful sources
Official rules, manuals, product pages, and support documents provide the starting evidence. Retailer listings help establish the purchase destination and selected configuration. Product guides link to their sources and record when the evidence was checked.
An unknown fact stays unknown. If sources conflict, we explain the disagreement or hold the affected claim. Manufacturer age guidance and playing-time estimates are identified as published guidance; they are not guarantees for a particular child, group, or first session.
Explain the judgment
Our comparisons focus on the decision in front of the reader: group size, mode of play, reading or preparation, requirements, available space, and useful differences between editions. A reason to consider a product should be accompanied by a meaningful limitation. We do not treat every product as a winner or award ratings without a documented basis.
Use evidence labels honestly
A research-based product guide draws on documentation and original analysis. A documentation-based comparison compares what those sources establish. Neither label means we played, owned, measured, or tested the product. Hands-on reviews and measured results require records of the actual work.
Check images and purchase destinations
Product imagery must match the item discussed and have a documented basis for use. Image credits identify the source and permission or license. Department photographs illustrate an activity; they do not prove that AG101 tested a specific item.
Item-specific Amazon buttons require a verified exact match. When that match is unresolved, useful research can remain without an item-specific button. Prices, availability, customer ratings, and reviews are not invented or copied into a guide to fill a gap. Read our affiliate disclosure for how purchase links support the site.
Correct consequential mistakes
Send a correction through Contact & Corrections with the page, exact edition, disputed detail, and supporting source. Wrong destinations and facts that could cause an unsuitable purchase take priority. Substantive changes should update affected guides and include a meaningful note. A page date indicates a recorded revision or check, not a promise that its sources will never change.
