Deck Boxes for 100 Double-Sleeved Cards: How to Check Real Capacity

A “100-card” label is incomplete without sleeve assumptions. Check the exact deck box, sleeve combination, token allowance and usable compartment dimensions before calling a hundred-card double-sleeved deck a guaranteed fit.

A “100-card” label is incomplete without sleeve assumptions. Check the exact deck box, sleeve combination, token allowance and usable compartment dimensions before calling a hundred-card double-sleeved deck a guaranteed fit.

Read the manufacturer’s qualification

Gamegenic’s Squire 100+ XL Convertible is designed for one hundred double-sleeved cards using particularly thick inner sleeves, and the maker specifically notes that other sleeve brands can affect capacity. It publishes an interior compartment of 69 × 78 × 95 mm. Those qualifications belong beside the capacity claim.

The outside product size is larger and is not usable card space. Do not compare a sleeved card’s height to the exterior case height and treat that as proof.

Measurement What it can establish What it cannot establish alone
Card and sleeve width/height Whether the footprint can enter the compartment Comfortable stack capacity
Interior stack depth Space available for a measured stack The thickness of an unmeasured sleeve combination
Manufacturer capacity Tested or intended stated configuration Every other brand and extra-token arrangement

Measure the real stack

Count the full deck, commander where applicable, tokens, dividers and other stored pieces. Let the sleeved stack settle naturally, then measure without forcing or crushing it. Compare the required dimensions with the compartment in the intended orientation. A box that closes only under pressure should not be treated as a successful fit.

Separate arithmetic from a compatibility promise

A simple calculator can reject an oversized footprint or estimate capacity from a known stack measurement. It cannot infer sleeve thickness, trapped air, tolerances or comfortable handling from a product nickname. Use the Sleeve and Deck Box Fit tool for transparent checks, keeping any unverified thickness or capacity field unknown.

If buying without a measured deck, prefer the maker’s explicitly supported sleeve configuration and retain the assumptions in your purchase note.
