Gaming Chairs for a Table: Seat Height, Armrests, and Table Clearance

Choose a chair for a gaming table by seat height, armrest clearance and the space needed to approach the table. A chair that works at a computer desk may be awkward beside a deep apron or a recessed play area.

Choose a chair for a gaming table by seat height, armrest clearance and the space needed to approach the table. A chair that works at a computer desk may be awkward beside a deep apron or a recessed play area.

Measure the table from underneath

Record floor-to-apron clearance, the distance between legs and the height of the playing surface or rail. Then measure the chair at the settings you expect to use. The advertised tabletop height is not the same as the clearance available for knees or armrests.

Chair measurement Compare with
Seat-height range Comfortable access to the actual playing surface
Armrest height and width Apron clearance and space between table legs
Seat width and depth The intended user and available seat spacing
Wheelbase or leg footprint Neighboring chairs and the route around the table
Recline and swivel space Walls, shelves and other players behind the chair

Use the correct size variant

Secretlab’s TITAN Evo technical sheet lists different seat, armrest-span and wheelbase dimensions for Small, Regular and XL. Its usage guide also describes several armrest adjustments. Those adjustments are useful to inspect, but they do not establish that the chair fits your table at every setting. Compare the exact size and current specifications.

An armrest that lowers enough to slide under a table may still be too wide to pass between its legs. A wide wheelbase can also collide with neighboring chairs before the seat reaches the desired position. Measure these constraints independently.

Test the actual activity

Sit at a comparable table and reach for cards, dice and a central board without forcing the chair against the apron. Check whether the chair can be pulled out and turned without blocking a passage. For multiple players, mark each chair’s occupied footprint. This guide addresses physical fit and use, not medical or posture claims; comfort must be assessed by the intended user rather than inferred from a “gaming” label.
